Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in joinery and woodworking, with the ability to fabricate and assemble various structures and components. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, as well as a keen eye for detail to ensure high-quality finishes. The Joiner will work on diverse projects, contributing to both interior and exterior construction tasks.

Duties

Fabricate and assemble wooden structures, including doors, windows, and furniture. Perform joinery tasks with precision, ensuring all components are plumb and level. Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for cutting, shaping, and finishing wood. Carry out painting and finishing tasks to enhance the appearance of completed projects. Conduct heavy lifting when necessary to transport materials or complete installations. Collaborate with other tradespeople, including electricians, to ensure seamless project execution. Maintain a clean and organised work environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Qualifications

Proven experience in joinery or a related field is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools (e.g., chisels, saws) and power tools (e.g., drills, sanders). Strong understanding of joinery techniques and principles. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and effectively. Knowledge of basic electrical work is advantageous but not mandatory. Familiarity with painting techniques is preferred. Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
