Tom Whiteley Construction is a long established business which operates in and around the Christchurch and New Forest areas. We work on a variety of interesting projects for discerning clients, and are looking to recruit an experienced Site Manager/Working Foreman. Pay dependent on candidate's experience.
What we are looking for and role:
The successful applicant needs to have an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry, with at least 5 years' experience in a construction role - preferably an experienced tradesman; be exceptionally organised and self-motivated with the ability to find solutions to problems and a positive 'can do' attitude. The role involves planning and organising a variety of projects; co-ordinating tradesmen and labourers; sourcing materials and liaising with suppliers; overseeing the quality and workmanship on site. This is an interesting and varied role for the right candidate.
We would ideally like the candidate to be experienced in a trade who would also need to be able to muck in if and when needed. You will also need to have the following skills:
Ability to read plans and specs
Ensuring quality work and correct practices
Strong knowledge of your trade
Strong communication and leadership skills
Ability to lead by example
Reliable
Highly organised with the ability to oversee a number of projects of varying sizes at any one time
. Full driving licence and transport to Unit in Christchurch
Have at least 5 years experience in the construction industry
