We have a great opportunity for a Site Operative to join an experienced team, providing a first-class service on behalf of our flour mill in Belfast. As key member of the Milling Team, the successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery The purpose of this role is to ensure the essential 24hr/7day production, food safety and quality assurance support to the flour manufacturing operation, from raw material intake to finished product out. As well as all aspects of production from; blending and testing of finished flour, food safety checks, mill maintenance, implementing milling best practice and seeking continuous improvement.
Key Accountabilities

Carry out Mill Food/Feed Safety Checks which include the HACCP Critical Control Points (CCP's.)
Support the Miller with the daily running of the Mill which includes carrying out planned milling maintenance. E.g. Cleaning out sifters, purifiers and roller mills.
Monitor all Mill processes in the control room using the computer system and respond to, rectify (first fix) and report all faults.
Self-manage holidays and cover for shift changes.
Supporting with Weighbridge cover when required.
Support the Warehouse by performing packing duties as required.
Support laboratory with out of hours QA checks to maintain product quality.
Actively contribute to site standards and respective internal and external audits. Ensuring a clean as you go approach at all times.
Demonstrate the 'Safety First' approach at all times. Being proactive with hazard reporting, working with site team to target Zero Harm.
Expect to take part in UK flour millers correspondence course with the aim to complete the 4 modules within 5 years.
The Right Person
--------------------
A minimum of 3 G.C.S.E's (Including Maths and English) or equivalent.
Basic I.T. Skills (Microsoft outlook, Excel and computerized systems)
Experience of industrial Food plant operations would be desirable.
Food Safety Level 2, and IOSH Working Safely.
Hands on experience of basic maintenance and adjustment of manufacturing equipment
Uk flour milling modules 1 to 4 (Safety, Health & Hygiene, Wheat & The Screenroom, Mill Processes and, Product Handling, Storage & Distribution) are desirable, however full training is provided.
Good Interpersonal skills and a real team player.
Presents themselves in a professional manner; including smart appearance, good time keeping, organised, good communication skills.
