About the Role

JHT is seeking a dedicated and reliable

Site Operative

with a fabrication and welding background to join our growing team. This hands-on role involves supporting our site-based projects and carrying out essential fabrication and repair work as required. You'll be representing JHT on customer sites, so professionalism, presentation, flexibility, and a proactive attitude are key.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out site installations, general fabrication tasks, and on-site welding repairs as needed Interpret and work from engineering drawings with accuracy Ensure safe working practices at all times, especially in confined spaces (training can be provided) Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the site van and equipment Communicate effectively with team members internally and site contacts Support additional tasks as required, including working outside standard hours

Requirements

Full UK Driving Licence

(clean) - required to drive the company site van

Fabrication/Welding Experience

- essential (minimum 1 year preferred)

Ability to Read Engineering Drawings

- essential

CSCS Card

- essential

Confined Space Training

- beneficial (training can be provided if required)

Strong Work Ethic

- self-motivated, reliable, and well-organised

Flexibility

- must be willing to work overtime when needed

Good Communication Skills

- essential, both verbal and written
