We are urgently seeking a

Site Operative

with

SMSTS

and

First Aid

qualifications for a

3-week temporary construction project

on the outskirts of Guildford, Surrey. This role offers the potential to transition into a

permanent position

Key Responsibilities

Perform general site operative duties, including material handling, site preparation, and maintaining a clean work environment. Support skilled trades and assist with construction tasks to meet project deadlines. Ensure compliance with

health and safety regulations

, including conducting risk assessments as required. Provide

first aid support

in case of on-site emergencies. Work closely with site supervisors to maintain high standards of safety and productivity.
Requirements

Essential Certifications:

Valid

SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme)

certification. Valid

First Aid at Work

certification. Proven experience as a

Site Operative

or similar role in construction. Strong knowledge of

construction site safety

protocols. Reliable, team-oriented, and able to work under minimal supervision. Must have own

PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)

. Ability to commute to the outskirts of Guildford, Surrey (GU5 area).

Desirable:

CSCS card and previous experience in a similar short-term project.
