Essex Fire Protection Services is a leading provider of passive fire protection solutions, holding robust third-party accreditations. We are expanding our Fire Door Department and looking for a motivated Site Supervisor to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced professional to grow with a forward-thinking company, with a clear and structured progression plan.
The Role
As a Site Supervisor, you will play a key role in the successful delivery of fire door inspections, maintenance, and installation projects. You will oversee site activities, manage operatives, and ensure compliance with both company procedures and third-party certification requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the set-up and execution of fire door projects (inspection, maintenance, installation).
Conduct daily site briefings and toolbox talks with site teams.
Manage site set-up, ensuring safe and efficient working environments.
Coordinate and monitor operatives' work, ensuring compliance with specifications and standards.
Order and manage materials and stock, liaising with suppliers to ensure timely delivery.
Maintain health & safety standards, ensuring RAMS are followed and site audits are completed.
Carry out regular quality checks, ensuring work is documented and compliant with third-party accreditation requirements.
Use company systems (e.g., OneTrace or equivalent) to manage documentation, inspections, and reporting.
Represent the company in client meetings and provide progress updates.
Assist in programme planning, reporting on progress, issues, and delays.
Maintain accurate records of works completed, variations, and site diaries.
Support the training and development of junior team members where required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Site Supervisor (preferably in passive fire protection, fire doors).
Strong knowledge of fire door installation and maintenance standards.
Excellent understanding of Health & Safety requirements and site management procedures.
Ability to manage teams effectively and liaise with clients confidently.
Organised, with strong attention to detail and good IT/documentation skills.
Full UK driving licence.
