Job Description

OVERVIEW




We're looking for a hands-on, experienced Project Supervisor to oversee the delivery of small works projects involving civils, electrical, and technical installations. This temporary role, expected to last up to six months, is critical to our upcoming schedule and requires someone who can maintain project momentum, manage resources, and ensure timely handovers.


You'll be responsible for coordinating multiple teams (typically 4-8 people) across several locations simultaneously. Projects may span up to 10 car parks, with work occurring at four sites concurrently. Your role will be to ensure progress at each location, solve problems as they arise, and keep our clients informed throughout.


This is a dynamic, field-based role requiring travel and overnight stays. You'll need to be based in the Northwest of England, close enough to our Preston Operations Hub to collect equipment and materials as needed. When working away, we'll provide quality accommodation, a meal allowance, and a monthly overnight premium.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES




Project Management:

Lead small works projects involving civils, electrical, and tech installations. Ensure all elements progress on schedule and meet deadlines.

Team Leadership:

Supervise and motivate teams of 4-8 operatives across multiple sites. Provide feedback, set goals, and maintain high standards of performance.

Scheduling & Coordination:

Manage the programme of works, anticipate needs, and ensure materials and equipment are available on site when required.

Client Communication:

Act as the main point of contact for clients, providing updates, resolving issues, and ensuring expectations are met.

Health & Safety Compliance:

Enforce site safety protocols, manage permits (e.g., dig, isolation, working at height), conduct inductions, and maintain documentation including RAMS and the Construction Health & Safety file.

Problem Solving:

Identify and resolve obstacles on site, adapting to existing infrastructure and maintaining progress.

Reporting:

Attend daily and weekly meetings, report issues and output to the Installation Delivery Manager, and maintain accurate records.

Site Conduct:

Ensure professional behaviour on site, manage subcontractors, and uphold company standards.

Additional Duties:

Carry out other tasks aligned with your skills and experience to support project delivery.

FORMAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:




Essential experience




Minimum 10 years working on sites involving civils, electrical, or technical installations Proven ability to manage multiple teams and locations Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations and practical application Experience in planning, scheduling, and resource management Confident communicator across teams, clients, and head office Proficient in Microsoft Office or similar tools for email, documentation, and virtual meetings

Qualifications:




Valid CSCS card SMSTS certification Full UK driving licence (eligible to drive a company van) SMSTS

Desirable experience:




Experience managing small teams and subcontractors CSCS Black card Electrical or civils qualifications NEBOSH or IOSH certification
