Summary



We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead operations at our production site. You will be responsible for ensuring product quality, safety, legality, and full compliance with Cranswick Manufacturing Standards, BRC Global Standards for Food Safety, and Retailer Codes of Practice.

In this key role, you'll oversee our Quality, Compliance, and Technical Services teams, reporting directly to the Managing Director, and collaborating across departments including Production, NPD, Planning, HR, Health & Safety, and Hygiene.

Responsibilities



Oversee factory quality and technical standards on a daily basis. Deliver and maintain a robust quality management system. Review and implement quarterly quality risk assessments. Manage internal/external audits and lead customer visits. Oversee HACCP, allergen management, and micro/analytical sampling plans. Monitor site KPIs and implement improvement actions. Manage claims, concessions, and vulnerability risk assessments. Drive compliance with 3rd party audit standards (e.g., BRC). Lead and develop a high-performing technical team with a focus on succession planning. Conduct regular appraisals and support ER issues including disciplinaries and performance management. Promote strong behavioural leadership and positive workplace culture. Support technical training, coaching, and professional development. Attend and contribute to technical and cross-functional leadership meetings.

Requirements



Level 4 Food Safety (Advanced) Level 4 Health & Safety (IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent) BSc in a food-related discipline or 5+ years equivalent industry experience Advanced HACCP certification Knowledge of TACCP and allergen management Full site and group induction required

Experience & Knowledge



Minimum 7 years' experience in a similar technical/quality role within food manufacturing Strong understanding of risk assessments and safe systems of work Proven leadership in audit preparation, team management, and compliance delivery
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 57,000.00-62,000.00 per year
