Job Overview


We are seeking a skilled Joiner to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in various construction techniques and be proficient in both fabrication and assembly tasks. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work with a variety of materials and tools to create high-quality joinery products. You. will play a crucial part in ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards of craftsmanship.

Essential skills and Experience



Proven experience as a Bench Joiner or Cabinet Maker. Strong woodworking skills - cutting, shaping, assembling, and finishing wood. Use of hand tools and power tools (saws, planers, routers, chisels, drills, sanders, etc.). Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD plans. Knowledge of timber, sheet materials, veneers, and laminates. Precision measuring and marking out to tight tolerances. Assembly and fitting of bespoke joinery items (furniture, cabinets, doors, staircases, etc.). Meeting deadlines and project requirements

Desirable Skills



Experience with CNC woodworking machinery. Understanding of finishing techniques (varnishing, staining, polishing, spraying). Knowledge of different joinery methods (dovetails, dowels, biscuits, etc.). Ability to work with bespoke, high-quality joinery projects.

Personal Qualities



Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good problem-solving skills when working with complex designs. Commitment to health & safety practices in the workshop. Good time management to meet project deadlines. qualiifications NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Carpentry & Joinery / Bench Joinery. Apprenticeship background (preferred for skilled roles).

Pay Rate



16-20 per hour (depending on experience)



Opportunities for over time pay.
