We are seeking a motivated and versatile Skilled Labourer to join our dynamic Solar PV Installation team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building, renovating, and maintaining a variety of projects across commercial and residential sites. Responsibilities

Assist with a wide range of construction tasks including framing, drywall installation, roofing, concrete finishing, masonry, and flooring installation. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently to complete tasks such as cutting, drilling, sanding, and assembly. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate execution of projects. Support skilled tradespeople with plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, glass installation, cabinet installation, door hanging, and other specialized tasks. Prepare construction sites by setting up scaffolding, barricades, and safety measures in compliance with safety standards. Conduct construction inspections to ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications. Operate heavy equipment as needed for excavation or material handling under supervision. Assist with restoration projects and hardscape installations such as patios or walkways. Maintain a clean and organized work environment by properly storing tools and materials. Follow safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents or injuries on site. Collaborate effectively with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Skills

Proven experience working on construction sites with a solid understanding of construction processes and safety procedures. Proficiency in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation for accurate task execution. Skilled in using hand tools (hammers, saws, drills) and power tools (jackhammers, grinders) safely and effectively. Experience with concrete forming, finishing, masonry work, roofing techniques, framing carpentry, drywall installation, plastering, tile laying, flooring installation, welding, and cabinet setup is highly desirable. Familiarity with Bluebeam software for digital document management is a plus. Knowledge of construction management principles including estimating and project coordination is advantageous but not required. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when necessary. Strong understanding of construction inspection standards to ensure quality control throughout each phase of work. Capable of reading technical drawings such as schematics for electrical or plumbing systems. Experience with restoration projects or hardscape installations adds value to your skill set.
