The Skilled Plant and Maintenance Operator plays a vital role in the efficient and safe operation of Brewster Brothers' wash plant and associated heavy machinery. This position involves operating a range of motorised equipment--including bulldozers, wheeled loading shovels, excavators, dumpers, crushers, and screeners--while also participating in maintenance and repairs to keep the plant running smoothly.
The role requires a proactive and safety-conscious individual who can work effectively within a team, support the daily operation and cleaning of the wash plant, and help improve productivity through initiative and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:
Operate and manoeuvre heavy plant equipment to move, load, and process materials as required.
Supervise and participate in the daily wash plant cleaning and maintenance at the start and end of each shift.
Carry out daily inspections of all mobile plant machinery, ensuring all issues are logged and reported to the Plant Manager immediately.
Perform routine maintenance on mobile equipment, including fuelling, oil and water checks, and greasing.
Load HGVs and handle material transfers in a safe and efficient manner.
Ensure mobile plant is operated efficiently, with attention to fuel preservation and minimal downtime.
Strictly follow Health & Safety procedures and report any injuries or incidents to the Plant or SHEQ Manager.
Assist in keeping the site clean, safe, and organised at the end of each shift.
Provide feedback and suggestions for improving operational workflow and efficiency.
Liaise with colleagues and contribute to a positive, team-oriented working environment.
