Overview


We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Skilled Press Operator to join our busy team based in Sherburn.

In this role, you will be responsible for working as part of the Production Team reporting to the Production Team Leader, You will be expected to interpret drawings using your experiences in running a press break or similar machine, manufacturing bespoke aluminium flashings/fabrications.

Responsibilities



Perform all duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures for specific product(s) to a high-quality standard Work under the guidance of the Team Leader to meet production targets and KPI's Operate machinery/equipment/tools where necessary in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures to ensure product quality and high standards are maintained Monitor machine/equipment performance where necessary and escalate any product quality issues to Shift Supervisor Cleaning of machines/equipment and to maintain a good standard of general housekeeping to ensure a clean and safe work environment Maintain high levels of Health & Safety standards Perform any reasonable tasks as instructed by the Senior Operative/Production Supervisor To ensure compliance with the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001, 37301 and 45001 accreditations and all other certifications currently in place, including CE marking. To support the overall site achievement and maintenance of ISO 37301 Compliance Management Standard. By ensuring site adherence to and operation of the Compliance Management System responsibilities within ISO

Skills that will help you in the role:



Good communication skills, verbal and written Previous experience of working in a factory/manufacturing process environment Proven experience of reading and interpreting drawings to be able to run a press break or similar machine manufacturing bespoke aluminium flashings/fabrications. Experience of working shifts PC literate Ability to work as part of a team Proactive approach to meeting demanding production deadlines Good attention to detail with product quality and an understanding to meeting customer needs and requirements (OTIFs) Proactive approach to housekeeping, 5s methodology and waste minimisation Proactive approach to Health & Safety in the workplace

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 12.82-14.35 per hour
