PLEASE NOTE: This is an internal advert and is open to current Oxford Brookes University staff only.

This is a part-time position (18.5 hours per week), fixed term until 19th December 2025 to cover maternity leave, based on Headington Campus/ Online. If you wish to apply as a secondment please speak to your current line manager.

We are seeking a supportive and forward-thinking individual to support the Apprenticeship programmes within the Faculty of Health, Science and Technology

As a Skills Coach you will:


Take a lead role in supporting apprentices (both online and in-person) across subject areas which include Architecture, Planning, Property and Engineering.

Work closely with employers and partners across the UK to monitor apprentice performance and the impact of learning in the workplace.

Oversee the provision of a high level of service and ensuring stakeholder satisfaction.

Manage detailed administrative processes keeping accurate auditable records, using Oxford Brookes' electronic systems for quality assurance and compliance.

Provide advice and support to Faculty colleagues to ensure adherence to University and Apprenticeship regulatory procedures and policies.


The successful candidate should:


Hold a degree level in a relevant discipline or possess equivalent experience within the sector

Have experience in a learner-facing role within higher or further education

Demonstrate strong communication and problem-solving skills, along with a proven ability to build and maintain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders

Have a track record of successfully managing complex administrative processes

Show a clear understanding of educational compliance and quality assurance processes.
