As a

Skills Practitioner

, you'll play an important part in supporting both staff and students, helping to deliver high-quality, hands-on learning experiences. You'll liaise with colleagues and external partners, support learners to reach their goals, and ensure workshops are safe, well-organised, and fully equipped.

In this role, you will:




Monitor and promote excellent Health & Safety practices within workshop sessions Order, organise, and issue stock and supplies to keep sessions running smoothly Maintain stock control systems and ensure resources are available when needed Assist in lesson preparation, helping to create engaging and well-structured learning environments Provide constructive feedback and support to students to help them achieve their targets and progress successfully Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support effective communication and collaboration Maintain tidy, well-equipped workstations that enhance the learning experience Alongside our priority of excellent student experience, we also focus on our employees. About You




Are you organised, hands-on, and passionate about helping others learn? We're looking for someone who enjoys supporting learners to develop practical skills and confidence, while contributing to outstanding teaching and learning.


In this role, you will:




Support and guide learners through practical tasks, helping them gain real-world skills Deliver engaging demonstrations that bring Electrical Installation lessons to life Hold a Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installations Champion high standards of Health & Safety in all learning environments Order and manage resources and materials effectively within budget Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive space where every learner can thrive Share your recent industry experience to make learning relevant and inspiring Ideally bring experience of teaching or training others in the workplace Motivate and encourage young people to achieve their full potential, reflecting the positive ethos of East Kent Colleges Group
