Job Title: Skin Cancer Screening Nurse (Part-Time Hours)

Location: Edinburgh
Salary: 40,000 FTE (Pro Rata for 24 hours per week)
Hours: 21 hours per week - Wednesday: 10:00 to 19:00, Friday 10 to 17:00 and Saturday 10:00 to 17:00.

Weekend cover will be expected in the future.

We are now looking for a Skin Cancer Screening Nurse to join our Manchester City Centre clinic on a part-time basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside expert dermatologists and plastic surgeons while receiving specialist training in skin cancer screening, including our RCN-accredited training course.

The Role

Please note: The successful applicant must be available for two weeks initial training (Mon - Fri)

As a Screening Nurse, you will be responsible for conducting mole and lesion assessments using dermoscopy to support early detection of skin cancer. You will deliver exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with leading consultant dermatologists and plastic surgeons, and contribute to maintaining the high standards of our clinic.

Key Responsibilities:

Performing routine skin screenings and assessments. Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records. Liaising with specialist dermatologists and plastic surgeons. Ensuring full compliance with clinical guidelines and best practices.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid NMC PIN. Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience (dermatology experience not required).
Skills & Competencies:

Strong clinical assessment skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Hours & Environment:

21 hours per week Work in a modern, well-equipped clinic.

Salary & Benefits:

40,000 FTE (Pro-rata based on part-time hours). RCN-accredited training in skin cancer screening. NMC annual retention fee paid. Pension scheme & professional development opportunities.
