Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of commercial driving and have the ability to communicate effectively with both yard operatives staff and clients. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Operate various types of vehicles, including skip lorry for the delivery & collection of goods. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working order. Maintain accurate records of deliveries and any incidents that occur during transport. Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving. Demonstrate mechanical knowledge by performing basic maintenance on the vehicle as needed. Ensure that cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.

Requirements

Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for the type of vehicle operated. Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is preferred. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and clients. Familiarity with yard operatives and logistics processes is advantageous. Ability to demonstrate mechanical knowledge for basic vehicle maintenance tasks. A commitment to safety and adherence to regulatory guidelines while on the road.

Pay: 12.50-14.00 per hour
