Sliding Head Setter/operator
Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate sliding head machines to perform various machining operations.
Star SB16 Type 480 and Citizen Cincom L32 Sliding Head
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls and Wizard software.
- Experience in manufacturing fasteners
- Read engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining requirements
- Select and install appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and attachments for each job
- Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency
- Make adjustments to machine settings as needed to maintain proper dimensions and tolerances
- Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure they meet specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with CNC machines as they arise
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Skills:
- Proficiency in software for programming CNC machines
- Experience with materials handling and operating logic controllers
- Familiarity with hand tools used in machining operations
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory management
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of mechanical principles
