Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Slinger to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of materials on-site. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to maintain a productive work environment.

Duties

Operate and manage the slinging of materials using cranes or other lifting equipment. Ensure that all materials are moved safely and efficiently to designated areas on the construction site. Communicate effectively with crane operators and other team members to coordinate material handling activities. Conduct regular inspections of equipment to ensure safety standards are met. Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times. Assist in loading and unloading materials from vehicles as required.

Experience

Previous experience in a construction environment is preferred, particularly in material handling or slinging roles. Strong communication skills, with the ability to convey instructions clearly in English. A valid driving licence is advantageous for transporting materials when necessary. Familiarity with construction equipment and safety practices will be beneficial.
