Vacancy: Slitting Operator

Location: Peel Park Campus, East Kilbride

CCL Design is a leading global supplier of product and identification solutions. At CCL Design we manufacture and design branding components, security products, informational and intelligent labelling products for high growth sectors of the global electronics market.

We now have a vacancy for a Slitting reporting directly to the Shift Leader. The purpose of this position is to operate a large format reel to reel slitting machine. To work as part of a production team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position offers the right candidate the opportunity to learn new skills and advance to other positions within the coating team.

Main duties & responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring the machine is set up in accordance with SOP Ensuring production schedules are adhered to and run efficiently Responsible for product quality Responsible for accurate system data input and paperwork Join identification on slit coils with join stamp Coil and reel identification (labelling) Retrieval of master reels from designated area Splicing of material Core cutting Completion of product inspection Flagged waste material removal and accurate waste recording Disposal of trim waste Ensuring quality inspection is carried out at all times during manufacture Proactively improving and maintaining good housekeeping throughout the shift

Qualifications, skills & experience:

Slitting or reel to reel experience preferred but not essential as full training will be given Previous experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment is desired but not essential Must have good attention to detail and be able to follow processes and procedures exactly Must be a team player and have a flexible approach Able to demonstrates good standards of housekeeping and work area disciplines Computer literate and able to transact data accurately Counter Balance & Reach Fork Lift Truck License, preferred, but training would be given to the right candidate Must have a full, clean driving license

Hours of Work:

37.5 hour per week, Monday to Friday working a dayshift. Please note flexibility is required to suit business needs.
