Job Description
We are looking for a motivated and canteen chef for East Asian/ Chinese cuisine that will be involved in the daily running of the kitchen.
The premise is a new small takeaway based in an industrial area, that doubles as a staff canteen for a neighbouring company.
Monday - Friday
09:30 - 17:30.
We are looking for a friendly and reliable person to help manage a small takeaway located inside a Industrial Park . The cafe is small with little footfall, so working individually will be common.
Main Responsibilities:
Take customer orders and handle simple takeaway requests- Answer customer enquiries and promote company products Assist with basic food preparation, takeaway packaging, and staff lunch prep Maintain simple paperwork and daily records Maintain stock checks and report to head manager on stock/ equipment shortages Open and close cafe (lunch service only) Keep work areas clean and organised. Arrange and carry out deep cleaning when required Carry out stock preparation in accordance to recipes
Requirements:*- Hardworking, proactive, and polite
Must speak English and be comfortable chatting with customers to build good relationships Food Safety Level 2 / 3 certificate preferred (training can be provided if needed)- Must have the right to work legally in the UK (accommodation not provided) Working Holiday Visa holders are also welcome.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: 13.00-14.50 per hour
