As our Social Community Manager your key objective is to build a disruptive cult brand via both our digital platforms and offline events. To earn our place within GenZ culture, you are responsible for growing and engaging with our community, by demonstrating our bold personality and irreverent tone of voice.

You will be the driving force behind our brand's organic social media presence and digital community. You will manage and grow our social channels with a data-first mindset--delivering creative, engaging content while continuously optimising performance through actionable insights and reporting. This is a strategic and hands-on role that requires a perfect balance of creativity, community engagement, and analytical rigour.

Role



Hybrid, Head office in Manchester and 2 WFH days per week. Your time will be 50% field based, visiting our stores in other cities and attending New Bakery Openings.

What will I be doing as Insomnia's Social Community Manager?



1. Owned Social Media Management & Content Strategy

Own and execute a results-driven organic social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn, aligned with brand tone of voice (TOV) and business objectives. Plan, brief, and schedule engaging native content that performs--balancing storytelling with commercial impact. Lead content planning sessions and editorial calendar creation in sync with wider brand and commercial campaigns. Identify, brief, and manage content creators and influencers to deliver channel-specific content that resonates with target audiences. Grow and nurture the brand's online community, maintaining an engagement rate of 5%+ across platforms. Actively engage with followers, respond to comments and messages in brand voice, and create moments of surprise and delight. Conduct competitor and trend analysis to inform strategy and campaign execution. Attend events, guerrilla activations, and shoots to produce compelling real-time social content.

. Data, Analytics & Reporting

Monitor, analyse, and report on weekly and monthly KPIs including engagement rate, reach, follower growth, content performance, and influencer ROI. Turn data into insight--using performance trends to inform content development, scheduling, and targeting. Own social media reporting dashboards (Excel), presenting findings to internal stakeholders regularly. Test and iterate content formats and publishing strategies to maximise organic growth and efficiency.

3. Influencer Strategy & Community Development

Own the end-to-end influencer and gifting strategy, ensuring alignment with brand objectives, campaign themes, and key seasonal moments. Source, negotiate, brief, and manage influencer partnerships (paid and organic), ensuring efficient use of budget and measurable ROI. Maintain and grow a trusted influencer community across our key UK cities, with strong relationship management and thoughtful seeding. Lead reporting on influencer performance--tracking reach, engagement, cost per result, and content value. Plan, execute and attend influencer-first events, from gifting drops to NSO and product launch activations.

4. Customer Service Oversight

Respond to any customer enquiries related to marketing/brand via Zendesk. Own monthly CS reporting, analysing volume, response time, sentiment, and resolution outcomes to optimise customer experience. Liaise with operations and store teams to brief on campaigns, promotions, and customer feedback.

Essential skills/experience:



Batchelors Degree (marketing preferred) Minimum 3 years experience in similar role. Proven track record managing and growing social media platforms, especially TikTok and Instagram, for a consumer brand. You are highly self-motivated, organised, and accountable, with the ability to manage your own time and multiple workstreams effectively while working independently, as well as collaborating seamlessly within a team to achieve shared goals. A good sense of humour is essential! You will be the mouthpiece of the brand, and so strong copywriting and storytelling skills with a deep understanding of brand Tone of Voice and social-first content formats will be vital in this role. Data-driven mindset - confident interpreting analytics, building reports in Excel or Google Sheets, and drawing actionable insights. Excellent communication and stakeholder management, including working with agencies, creatives, and internal teams. Proficiency in tools such as Meta Business Suite, TikTok Analytics Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly PowerPoint for reporting and Excel for data manipulation, pivot tables, and dashboarding. Experience planning and managing budgets (influencer or media).

Preferred skills/experience:



Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Experience using Braze CRM and Punchh rewards software. Understanding of paid social basics and how organic and paid content strategies intersect. Experience in QSR/sweet treat/ food photography. Knowledge of regional and national influencers in the food space.
