Sunny Skies Enterprise CIC is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to support adults with a learning disability to run their own small businesses in and around Melton Mowbray. Our goal is to enable the people we support to learn new skills, build confidence, make friends, and be a valued and celebrated member of their community. At Sunny Skies, we believe that every person deserves to be a valued and active member of their community. We all have unique skills and talents, and we're here to celebrate them!
We opened the Sunny Skies community cafe in Melton Country Park in 2019. The cafe has grown into a thriving hub for community, work opportunity, and delicious food!
In 2025 we launched our brand-new Sunny Space project. Purchasing a disused paddock on the edge of Melton Mowbray, we are transforming it into a thriving space for the people we support to learn new skills and take on new challenges. The Sunny Space currently features a community allotment where we grow food to sell in our cafe, a floristry garden, and spaces for skills and wellbeing sessions. We have dreams for a pop-up coffee shop and a glamping cabin. As social enterprise supervisor, you'll have the opportunity to work alongside us to make these dreams a reality. Sounds exciting? Come join us!
