Events Manager

to join our Meetings Events Sales Team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for anyone wishing to pursue a career in Sales or Events at Gleneagles.


The on target earning potential for this role is 42,599 / per annum - comprising a base salary of 37,599, plus a qualified estimate of 5,000 in gratuities and service charge. As a member of the Gleneagles team, you will also enjoy a fantastic range of perks, benefits and rewards.

Confidently drive and achieve Sales KPIs for Room Nights and Private Dining, consistently meeting and exceeding set targets with passion and precision Inspire and support your direct reports within the Social team, focusing on their continuous development through thoughtful training plans, meaningful goal setting, and regular, supportive 1:1 meetings Work hand-in-hand with our brilliant Brand team to ensure we have impactful collateral and a well-structured, inspiring annual plan in place Proactively reach out to global social planners, building strong brand awareness and nurturing relationships that lead to high-quality enquiries Communicate warmly and professionally with guests, converting social group and event enquiries into confirmed bookings while cultivating lasting client relationships and growing repeat business Craft tailored, compelling proposals that highlight the magic of Gleneagles and our stunning event spaces, always aligning with our clients' unique needs and dreams Take full responsibility for coordinating an exciting variety of social occasions — from elegant weddings to memorable birthdays, heartfelt anniversaries, lively Christmas parties, and more Make thoughtful follow-up calls after events, gathering valuable feedback and sharing guest insights with relevant departments to continuously elevate our standards Approach every site visit with energy and enthusiasm, with the goal of truly 'wowing' prospective clients and leaving a lasting impression Build and nurture excellent relationships with wedding planners and event management companies, encouraging them to choose Gleneagles as their go-to destination Maintain trusted partnerships with key suppliers, ensuring we have a curated, high-quality preferred supplier list to delight our clients, while collaborating to bring even more business to the hotel Prepare flawless, detailed Function Sheets that serve as the foundation for unforgettable events, executed with style and precision Plan and host inspiring site visits, ensuring guests experience the full wonder of Gleneagles and enjoy moments of surprise and delight throughout their journey Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues across the estate, ensuring every event is perfectly tailored to our clients' wishes and always exceeds expectations Keeping up to date and experiencing new products across the Glorious Playground, nothing ever stands still at Gleneagles! Expertly navigate our Sales Catering system, managing all bookings and accounts with efficiency, professionalism, and attention to detail Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations, playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way

The kind of person we're looking for




Ideally, you'll have a minimum of 2 years' experience in luxury hotel Sales or Events with an outstanding track record of customer service Your attitude and approach are always fresh; no matter how many times an issue has been presented to you, to your guest it's the first time Passionate about hospitality and delivering a great service, you'll show great flair and have the natural ability to always project a positive, warm and thoughtful image Internally, you build relationships on trust and by truly understanding what your stakeholders need, always fulfilling your promises; externally, you build relationships through warmth, curiosity and compassion, nurturing these relationships for the longer term, with a sharp eye on the needs and priorities of the business You like it when your work stands out from the crowd and you make sure you're always one step ahead of industry trends Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand You have a positive "can do" attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual with an eagle eye for detail You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way

About gratuities service charge:
