Job Summary
The Guardfather is a DIY security systems brand with a growing presence on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram. We're looking for a Content Creator & Social Media Manager who can film, edit and publish both short-form and long-form video. You'll capture real installations, product demos, and behind-the-scenes moments, and you'll also appear on camera when Simon (our founder) isn't available. This is a creative, self-directed role: you'll own the day-to-day social media presence, generate ideas, and keep our channels consistently engaging.
Key Responsibilities
Video Production:
Plan, film and edit high-quality short-form (TikTok/Instagram Reels) and long-form (YouTube) videos.
Capture product installs, customer stories, and lifestyle content that shows the Guardfather brand in action.
Confidently appear on camera for demos, voice-overs, or quick updates when Simon isn't available.
Social Media Management:
Schedule and post content across YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and other emerging platforms.
Write engaging captions, optimize hashtags, and monitor analytics to grow reach and engagement.
Respond to comments and messages in line with our brand voice and customer-first ethos.
Creative Direction & Strategy:
Pitch new video concepts, trends, and campaign ideas to keep the brand fresh.
Work with Simon to align content with marketing goals (product launches, seasonal campaigns, etc.).
Maintain a consistent visual style that reflects the Guardfather identity: clean, modern, and trustworthy.
Skills & Requirements
Technical Skills:
Strong experience filming and editing (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut or similar).
Ability to light and record professional-quality audio/video.
Own professional recording equipment (camera, mics, lighting, stabilisers, etc.).

Creative & On-Camera Presence:
Comfortable presenting and speaking on camera in a confident, relatable style.
Proven eye for framing, storytelling, and visual detail.
Social Media Expertise:
Deep understanding of YouTube, TikTok and Instagram algorithms, analytics and best practices.
Ability to grow audiences organically and through paid promotions.
Professional Attributes:
Highly self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.
Strong communication and copywriting skills for captions and community engagement.
Flexibility to shoot on-site (Wirral/North West) and occasionally travel to project locations.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: 25,000.00-27,000.00 per year
Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
