About Us

Fur Boutique is a brand new luxury pet grooming salon opening July in the heart of Ripley. We specialize in high-end grooming services for dogs and cats, with a focus on comfort, care, and style. We're now looking for a creative and pet-loving social media content creator to help bring our brand to life online -- especially on Instagram and TikTok.

The Role

We're looking for someone to create engaging, fun, and visually appealing content that captures what makes Fur Boutique special -- from adorable grooming transformations to behind-the-scenes moments and pet personality spotlights.

Key Responsibilities

Plan, shoot, and edit short-form videos and photos in-salon (mainly for Instagram & TikTok) Post consistently to social media accounts, following brand style and tone Write captions, choose hashtags, and interact with followers Track engagement and suggest creative ideas to grow our online presence Stay up-to-date with trends and audio popular on TikTok/Instagram

? What We're Looking For

Experience creating content for TikTok and Instagram (can be personal or professional) Confident filming and editing short videos (using apps like CapCut, InShot, Canva, etc.) Strong eye for visual storytelling and social media trends Friendly, self-motivated, and comfortable working around animals Ideally local to Ripley or nearby (you'll need to come to the salon weekly)

Responsibilities

Develop high-quality written content for blogs, websites, and social media platforms. Conduct thorough research on industry-related topics to ensure accuracy and relevance. Collaborate with the marketing team to create content that aligns with overall brand strategy. Edit and proofread content to maintain high standards of quality and consistency. Manage social media accounts by creating engaging posts and responding to audience interactions. Assist in public relations efforts by writing press releases and other promotional materials. Monitor content performance using analytics tools and make recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Content Writer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of published work. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with attention to detail. Familiarity with SEO best practices and digital marketing strategies. Strong understanding of social media management tools and techniques. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment. Creative thinking skills with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content. A degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field is preferred but not essential.
