We Build Brands is the trading name of McInnes Communications Ltd, a boutique marketing consultancy that's worked with some of the biggest brands in the home improvement sector over the last 19 years. We're a business that works with clients for the long-term, some in excess of 10 years as we build lasting and trusting relationships, with projects from far afield including Canada and the USA.

We are looking to appoint a Social Media and Content Lead to help boost the engagement, reach and presence of key clients and the WBB business. You'll need to be creative with a flair for creating and delivering eye catching campaigns across all the major social media platforms including FaceBook, Insta, LinkedIn and X.

You'll be a confident and proven social media marketeer that's looking to work with bigger brands with the opportunity to shape their future engagement, as most of our clients have a turnover of 20-50 million, some with an international perspective.

IT underpins the business through the use of Monday.com as our CRM platform, alongside Cision/Brandwatch for the management of the social and wider communications programmes. Canva and Capcut are currently used to generate graphical/video assets, though we're looking to develop our video production side through Final Cut Pro.

It's also a role which is home-based, yet there is a modern co-working space that will be harnessed for collaborative working and idea sharing. There will be some UK and possible overseas travel.

Key Responsibilities



Management of all clients and WBB social media platforms. Development of new strategies and paid campaigns through LinkedIn. Build newsletters and thought leadership articles within LinkedIn as the preferred B2B platform. Creation of engaging content through photos, captions, reels, stories & video. Software includes the likes of Canva, Capcut, alongside a business-wide CRM solution. Implement regular creative sessions with clients and on-site shoots. Video production skills preferable as we look to develop short video reels. Implementing social campaigns promoting the WBB business to a wider audience. Monitor social media channels for customer interactions and respond promptly with positive reply. Planning, implementation and reporting of all social media campaigns.

Required Skills & Experience



3+ years proven experience in social media management, campaign planning, and delivery. Creative mindset with a can do attitude, attention to detail and ability to thrive in a dynamic, but remote team environment. Ability to work independently and with a robust social strategy for all clients. Staying up to date with platform changes, trends, and best practices Strong commercial awareness, along with the understanding of reporting KPI's and performance metrics, using analytics. Strong communication, project management and IT skills. Experience in video editing and through the use of a DSLR camera preferred. Experience in B2B marketing, preferably within construction, industrial or engineering sectors.
