At ThirtyThree, we're a full-service creative agency specialising in employer branding and recruitment marketing. We help some of the world's most recognisable brands tell powerful stories about what it's really like to work there - and we do it across every platform you can imagine, including social media.



From the British Army to McDonald's, KFC to M&S, Specsavers to Royal Mail - our Social Media team works at the heart of employer branding for some of the biggest names out there. Now, we're looking for an experienced Social Media Director to take the reins while our current Director goes on maternity leave.



This is a 13-month fixed-term opportunity to step into a senior leadership role at a creative agency known for doing things differently - starting in January 2026.



What you'll be doing



You'll lead a talented and ambitious social team of 6, with three direct reports. As Social Media Director, you'll be responsible for the overall delivery and evolution of our social media offering - making sure it's always strategic, and valuable to our clients.



Oversee delivery of high-impact social strategies and campaigns across a wide range of industries

Lead, mentor and develop the team - from senior strategists to content creators

Shape and evolve our social media offering to stay ahead of industry trends and client needs

Act as a senior consultant on key client accounts, developing strategies and presenting ideas

Collaborate closely with our Film and Creative teams to bring social-first content to life

Partner with Client Services to identify and grow social opportunities across existing accounts

Work with the New Business team to position social as a key part of integrated client proposals and pitches

Support on social elements of new business pitches and commercial proposals

Represent social media at the senior level, reporting into our Chief Operating Officer

What you'll bring

10+ years of experience in social media, including at least 5 years managing and leading a team

Proven background in agency-side roles - you get how creative agencies run, pitch and grow

Strong commercial acumen - you know how to link social media activity to business growth, revenue, and client value

A strategic mindset and commercial awareness - you know how to make social media work for business

Confident in front of clients - whether it's presenting strategy or discussing performance

Excellent collaboration and people skills - you know how to bring cross-functional teams together (such as Creative, Film, Media, Client Services) to deliver standout, integrated work

Experience working with enterprise-level brands across different industries

Comfortable developing and critiquing creative concepts and managing delivery end-to-end

Proficiency in tools such as social media management platforms, Canva, Adobe Suite, and Monday.com
