We are preparing to launch a delivery service to all Brighton Postcodes at the start of 2026, to prepare for this we're looking for a creative, motivated individual to help us build a social media presence from the ground up, while also supporting the day-to-day running of the store. In this role, you will be responsible for enhancing our online presence and engaging with our and the wider community through various social media platforms. Your contributions will be vital in promoting our brand and driving customer engagement.
You'll be provided with a dedicated office space and computer, but must have your own phone or camera for content creation, along with basic editing skills .
This is a 6-month position to start, with potential for a long-term role if results and growth in social media platforms are strong.
Responsibilities
Develop grow and manage social media accounts and strategies on Facebook, Instagram and TikTok to increase brand awareness.
Create and post engaging short and or long form content tailored to our business and audience across the various platforms.
Monitor social media channels for customer feedback and respond promptly.
Analyse performance metrics to optimise social media campaigns and report back to management
Collaborate with team members to align social media efforts with overall marketing goals.
Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities.
Promote in-store offers and upcoming delivery services
Use AI tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Canva, CapCut) for content planning and editing
Work regular in-store shifts to stay connected with products and customers
Requirements
Proven experience in social media management and growing social media accounts (either personal or business), preferably retail related
Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their respective audiences.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to analyze data and derive actionable insights from metrics.
Creative mindset with a passion for storytelling through digital content.
Confident filming and editing content using your own phone or camera
Comfortable using AI tools to create captions and content
Willing to work in-store as part of a small retail team
Full UK driving licence
Committed to a 6-month growth period, with the aim of growing into a long-term role
Preferred (but not required)
Experience with social media advertising (Meta, TikTok Ads) - Graphic design or photography background & Familiarity with Brighton's local community and trends
A Valid UK Driving License
