We are seeking a motivated and creative Social Media Intern to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in social media management and public relations. The intern will assist in developing engaging content across 2 businesses, managing our social media platforms, and enhancing our online presence. This is a fantastic opportunity to put into practice what you have learned and contribute to varied larger projects.
Duties
Assist in creating and scheduling engaging content across various social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and Others.
Monitor social media channels for trends, comments, and messages, responding appropriately to enhance audience engagement.
Collaborate with the Business owner and managers to develop campaigns that align with our brand voice and objectives.
Conduct research on industry trends and competitor activities to inform content strategy.
Track and analyse social media metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of campaigns and content.
Support public relations efforts by assisting with outreach initiatives.
Skills
Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective audiences.
Excellent written communication skills with a keen eye for detail.
Familiarity with public relations practices is advantageous.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Basic knowledge of graphic design tools (e.g., Canva or Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus but not essential.
A passion for storytelling and creating compelling content that resonates with diverse audiences. We would be happy to work alongside someone who is currently studying to provide hands on experience in the field. We are looking for someone to start out small and grow with both businesses, eventually leading the team they will help create and assisting in us growing from small businesses into something bigger and more.
