Role Overview




This is a hands-on, future-focused role for someone who lives and breathes social media. You will both lead and do - shaping strategy and future-facing innovation, while also rolling up your sleeves to deliver content, manage platforms, and drive daily execution.


You'll be responsible for reimagining and elevating Travel Counsellors' social media presence across multiple audiences - including premium leisure customers, corporate clients, prospective franchisees, and our global colleague community. From crafting engaging posts to defining our AI-enhanced content strategy, you'll turn social into a performance channel and a brand-building engine.


This role is as much about enabling others as it is about execution. You'll empower our 2,000+ Travel Counsellors with tools, content, and coaching to show up confidently on social - amplifying our brand through a distributed, trusted network.


Key Responsibilities




Strategy & Innovation




Lead a joined-up, multi-audience social media strategy spanning organic, paid, and UGC content. Integrate emerging AI tools for ideation, production, localisation, and trend tracking to future-proof our approach. Build a distinct and discoverable brand presence across established platforms and emerging digital ecosystems. Evolve measurement frameworks to track and optimise impact across both brand and TC-led social.

Executional Leadership




Own the end-to-end social content calendar - planning, creating, posting, and optimising across platforms. Work with our design team and AI tools to develop thumb-stopping visual content; write and publish platform-appropriate copy daily. Manage paid social activity where needed, ensuring targeting and creative drive ROI. Implement A/B testing and continuous optimisation practices to refine approach based on performance.

TC Network Empowerment




Develop scalable social playbooks, training, and toolkits to support TC community social media success. Build visibility of TC social activity - identifying what works, sharing best practice, and driving up quality and reach. Understand and score our TC community on their social skillset and devise strategies and training to improve the. Act as a trusted coach to less digitally confident users, building capability across a diverse network.

Cross-Functional Collaboration




Work with the Head of Content to ensure alignment with messaging and brand tone. Partner with campaign, design, CRM, and growth teams to deliver joined-up campaign activity and storytelling.
Collaborate with recruitment and commercial leads to tailor social strategies that deliver lead generation and conversion outcomes.




Experience & Skills




Essential:




5+ years in social media roles with proven results across organic and paid channels. Strong experience in both

strategic planning and hands-on delivery

-- from calendar ownership to post creation. Demonstrable ability to link social to commercial goals (e.g., lead gen, sales uplift, audience growth). Deep platform knowledge (Meta, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) and a sharp sense for channel-appropriate content. Confident user of social tools (e.g., Sprout, Hootsuite, Meta Suite, analytics platforms). Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and leading conversations across functions. Experience in building and managing

engaged communities

across social platforms - fostering interaction, loyalty, and advocacy through content, conversation, and care.

Desirable:




Experience in franchise, networked, or decentralised models. Background in premium lifestyle or customer service-led businesses. Familiarity with influencer and UGC strategies. Experience in both B2C and B2B social landscapes. Comfort with AI tools for content ideation, personalisation, and localisation.
