Whistlefish is a Cornish-born greetings card and art brand with a heart full of care and creativity. We're on the lookout for a talented Social Media Marketer & Content Creator to join our small but mighty team. This is a hands-on, highly creative role where you'll be photographing products, filming engaging content, running our social channels, and helping our brand shine across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube and Pinterest.

Your Role

You'll be part of our brand and marketing team, reporting directly to the Head of Brand and Marketing. Your focus will be bringing the Whistlefish personality to life online - visually and strategically. One day you might be filming a behind-the-scenes reel, the next you're editing a product shoot or reviewing analytics from the week before. We're after someone multi-skilled, self-sufficient and full of ideas.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement creative, strategic social media plans with measurable goals with line manager. Create weekly performance reports with insights and recommendations Manage and grow our social channels day-to-day using Meta Business Suite and native platforms Create multimedia content including Reels, TikToks, product videos, campaign films and more Take product photography and lifestyle imagery using a professional camera, styling and shooting independently along with using mockups in Photoshop Host and direct product and lifestyle photoshoots that tell strong visual stories Collaborate with our freelance videographer to create a wide range of engaging video content Keep and eye on digital trends, tools, styles and formats Build relationships with influencers and online communities that reflect our brand values Respond to comments, develop conversations, and help our community feel connected Support with content creation and editing for the website and other marketing channels Plan and schedule all content using our social calendar, balancing creativity with consistency with a goal of growth Work independently off-site when needed to meet photography and filming needs

What You'll Bring

Minimum

2 years in-house experience

as a social media content creator or similar A

strong photography and video portfolio

showcasing a range of product and lifestyle work Excellent knowledge of social media trends, tools and best practices Confident in using a

professional camera and Iphone

for photography and video Strong editing skills using the full

Adobe Creative Suite

(especially Lightroom, Premiere Pro, Photoshop) Clear understanding of how to visually translate a

brand voice and values

into content Experience working with social media analytics tools and reporting Comfortable working independently, with a

trustworthy and proactive attitude

A naturally creative person with a

"try anything" mindset

Full UK Driving Licence required

Bonus: Experience in the

retail or gifting industry

No Degree Required
