What you will do as Social Media Operations Executive
The Social Media Operations Executive is responsible for the day-to-day management of People's Postcode Lottery social media channels including Meta (Facebook & Instagram), X and TikTok, but excluding LinkedIn which is managed by the Communications Team.
The role liaises closely with marketing compliance to ensure all content is compliant, while working with other teams such as events to collect winner information and ensure all consents are in place and the correct winner details are included. The role will also work with other departments such as Creative, Media Investment on boosted organic content as well as the Communications and Charity team on charity content.
You will also monitor sentiment, engagement and content reporting on channel performance while keeping abreast of trends and best practices, cascading social media insights to a variety of teams and stakeholders.
The role will support the Social Media Manager in identifying content to place Boost budget behind, working with the Media Investment team to monitor and report on the impact.
While the Social Media Channel Officer is not part of the Customer Experience team, the role will work in collaboration with the Customer Experience team helping influence best-practice for community management, helping to support them on guidelines and best practice.
As part of the role requires the postholder to monitor channel performance, they will need to be able to analyse often complex data quickly and effectively.
Your key responsibilities:
Responsible for the scheduling and positing of content on social media channels.
Ensures visual communication and brand standards are met along with tone of voice and key messaging for the relevant target audiences.
Ensures the on-time delivery of social content, which is on brand and compliant with all relevant regulations.
Creating the social media content calendar and cascading this information to relevant stakeholders in a timely and accurate fashion.
Support the Social Media Team to attract new audiences on owned channels and through boost posts while keeping current audiences engaged.
Responsible for monitoring, analysis, and reporting outcomes and learnings on People's Postcode Lottery social channels.
Monitor engagement and sentiment, sharing insights.
Monitor social channels for potential threats, escalating to relevant team members and being a part of the crisis response team.
Liaises with key stakeholders in the development and maintenance of the crisis communications policy and monitoring of reputational risk.
Supports the Social Media Manager when working with Legal and Risk to ensure compliance is maintained as new channels are identified.
Provides and maintains expertise on trends and developments in the social media landscape and complementary technologies.
As this role covers the identification of risk the Social Media Channel Officer may on occasion be required to respond to urgent situations out of hours, should they arise.
Hybrid working: 80% in office and 20% working from home
Salary range: 37,000-42,000
About you
Relevant demonstrable experience at managing social media channels for a commercial or charitable organisation.
Good working knowledge of META Business Suite (including Ads Manager) and Hootsuite, Microsoft packages, media management platforms, scheduling and social listening tools and the ability to use these packages to meet business needs.
Excellent attention to detail, with ideally experience working in a highly regulated sector.
Strong collaboration skills and an ability to multitask.
Strong project management and delivery skills.
The ability to work to tight deadlines and operate effectively in high pressure situations.
Good judgement with an understanding brand tone, brand guidelines and when to escalate risks.
An appreciation of media and data protection legislation, including copyright, defamation and GDPR.
Understanding of social media metrics and ability to perform detailed analysis.
You are highly organised, enjoying the coordination of projects and working in a fast-paced team.
Computer literate, confidence using Microsoft office tools, mainly Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
Copywriting skills would be desirable.
