McLaughlin & Harvey are one of the leading Building and Civil Engineering Contractors operating throughout the UK and Ireland.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Social Value Coordinator to join the team.

Responsibilities

The Social Value Coordinator will operate onsite throughout the construction period and coordinate the delivery of our Social Value Action Plan and secure legacy outcomes for communities.

  • Be responsible for and lead on the delivery of Social Value Action Plan commitments across all workstream.
  • Work effectively with colleagues to coordinate and deliver Social Value Action Plan commitments that relate to across procurement, HR and environmental activity.
  • Work with the commercial team to embed Supply chain Social Value Action Plans that contribute to MCLH\'s social value objectives for the project.
  • Establish and manage local employment, apprenticeship, work placement and training opportunities as part of the Social Value Action Plan through partnership with MCLH HR.
  • Work in partnership with key stakeholders to develop and deliver programmes across employability and skills, school engagement and community engagement that secure legacy impacts from the project investment.
  • Establish forums that allow for the proactive engagement of local residents and community groups and contribute to our pledge of being a good neighbour.
  • Manage the delivery of the You Matter Communities initiative and ensure measurable legacy impacts.
  • Operate as a project ambassador in the community and raise awareness of activity being delivered as part of the MCLH Social Value Action Plan on this project.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with key stakeholders and community groups.
  • Monitor, measure and report on social value outcomes achieved on the project.
  • Operate in line with the principles of the Project Pledge at all times.
  • Create case studies for PR and Marketing purposes.
  • Work with the site teams to prepare and deliver the Considerate Constructors Scheme.
Qualifications

Desirable
  • Level 5 or Scottish Higher-level qualification
Experience

Desirable
  • Experience within the Construction Industry and Social Value
