Job Details






Two vacancies have arisen for a Social Work Assistant within Adults Services based in Dunfermline and

Buckhaven

. The successful candidates will be educated to SCQF level 7 (which includes HNC, Advanced Higher, SVQ3 or equivalent). The successful candidates will work in a busy adult's team and will carry a varied caseload, working with adult service users with a range of needs. This includes those with physical disabilities, learning disabilities, mental health difficulties, sensory impairment and blood borne viruses.




Experience of working in adults' services would be advantageous. However, the successful candidates should have the ability to work creatively in a solution-focused way, be a team player and show a positive "can-do" attitude.




The successful candidates will be expected to carry out a range of assessment and care management tasks including:




Undertaking outcome focused assessments, risk assessments, risk management plans with adults




Contributing to adult protection work, Inquiries, investigations and case conferences




Participating in a team Duty Rota




Working in collaboration with partners e.g. Health Service, Education, Police and voluntary sector agencies




Undertaking all other duties as required for the role




The Person






SCQF level 7 (which includes HNC, Advanced Higher, SVQ3 or equivalent)




Knowledge and understanding of child/adult protection guidelines




Ability to use relevant IT systems




Ability to travel within Fife




Before confirming to your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme
