Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging, well-structured Sociology lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
Plan, prepare, and assess students' work in line with the national curriculum
Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment where every student can thrive
Develop students' critical thinking, analytical, and debating skills
Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance curriculum design and departmental success
Take an active role in school life, including pastoral care and extra-curricular opportunities
Requirements
A degree in Sociology or a closely related discipline
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent UK-recognised teaching qualification
A genuine passion for Sociology and the ability to inspire curiosity and enthusiasm in learners
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Proven experience teaching Sociology at KS3 and KS4
