The Wattrus Group

is an established family business, based in Solihull. We are an expanding soft furnishings and flooring company, specialising in the manufacturing and installation of window treatments and flooring in private client's homes, new builds, and the hotel and leisure industry. On site we manufacture soft furnishings and have a team of installers who travel throughout the UK installing these.

We have a team of 25 workroom operatives, and we are looking to appoint a further couple of operatives to work in this team.

We manufacture curtains, cushions, roman blinds, and bedspreads on site. In our workroom, we have some of the most advanced sewing machines in the country; specific training will be given on the use of these machines.

As an experienced Production Operative, you would be involved in all stages of production.

An interest in this type of work and previous use of sewing machinery is essential.

Key Responsibilities

Involved in all aspects of workroom production Machine sewing hems, sides and headings Assembly of Curtains and Roman blinds Measuring fabrics and final goods Use a variety of sewing machinery Hand sewing in small amounts Finishing and packing soft furnishings

Salary and Benefits

Salary dependant on experience, however you can expect to earn between 12.25 and 13.50 per hour Working hours are 7.00am to 3.00pm, Monday to Friday Thirty-two days (full time equivalent) holiday to include bank and public holidays Full time, permanent position
