Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and personable Soft Play Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role involves engaging with customers, booking them in to their play session, and maintaining a welcoming store environment. Experience in childcare is advantageous, especially if you have worked with children or in nursery settings. You should be flexible in terms of hours available to work throughout the week, including weekends and be able to work in term time & school holidays.

Duties

Greet customers warmly and assist them Provide product information and recommendations to enhance customer experience Manage to set up or organise displays, and ensure the area remains tidy and inviting Support in organising promotional events and store layouts Assist in training new team members and provide leadership on the shop floor Handle transactions efficiently using the point-of-sale system Engage with children and families if applicable, creating a friendly shopping atmosphere Support store management with administrative tasks as required

Qualifications

Previous experience in Play areas, retail sales or customer service is desirable Management or leadership experience is advantageous Experience working with children or in childcare/nursery settings is a plus Knowledge of early childhood education principles is beneficial Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently when needed Valid driving licence preferred for store-related travel responsibilities Organised, proactive, and able to handle multiple tasks efficiently

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: Up to 12.21 per hour

Expected hours: 14 - 30 per week
