Job Overview:



As the Soft Play Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the soft play area, ensuring a safe, clean, and enjoyable environment for all visitors. You'll lead and inspire a team to deliver outstanding customer service, maintain high safety and hygiene standards, and create memorable experiences for children and their families.

Key Responsibilities:



Key Holder responsibility for opening & closing Rota Management of Staff Timesheet collation to payroll Manage the daily running of the soft play area, ensuring smooth operations and a welcoming atmosphere. Lead, train, and motivate team members to deliver excellent customer service and uphold safety protocols. Monitor and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards at all times. Oversee food handling operations, including snacks and party catering, ensuring food safety compliance. Oversee booking systems, party/event coordination, and customer interactions. Handle customer feedback and complaints professionally and proactively. Work with the wider management team to drive visitor numbers, customer satisfaction, and revenue. Ensure health & safety, risk assessments, and safeguarding policies are followed Manage stock levels, ordering of supplies, and basic maintenance reporting. Support the marketing and promotion of the soft play area through local outreach and social media activity.

Person Specification:



Essential:



Experience in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally within a leisure, hospitality, or childcare environment. Strong leadership Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Experience in food service or food handling is essential. Passionate about working with children and families. A proactive and hands-on approach. Commitment to health & safety and child safeguarding practices. Availability to work weekends, school holidays.

Desirable:



Level 2 Food Hygiene certification. First Aid and/or Safeguarding certification. Previous experience managing a soft play centre or similar facility. Knowledge of booking systems and event/party coordination.
