JOB TITLE: Software Engineer (.Net/C#/Azure)

SALARY: Dundee (\xc2\xa345,054 - \xc2\xa350,060) London (\xc2\xa352,560 - \xc2\xa358,400)

LOCATION(S): Dundee or London

HOURS: Full-time

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites

About this opportunity

In your role as an Off-Platform Developer, you will be responsible for working on new greenfield development projects as well as supporting existing applications and interfaces with third party partners. The projects you support, will include white label partner implementations, platform enhancements and regulatory change. You will also be required to provide support with production incidents and API testing. You will be involved throughout the project lifecycle - responsible for understanding business requirements, participating in detailed design brainstorming sessions and developing Web UI & Middleware applications, SQL procedures/functions, Azure Data Factory, SSIS packages, PowerBI reports, C# web and background services to implement the required functionality.

The ideal candidate will be a full stack Microsoft Analyst Developer with development experience in both web and database domains, have a good understanding of database design and have good working knowledge of the best practices in Web, SQL & SSIS or Azure Data Factory development demonstrated over several projects.

Participate in all phases of software development life cycle including design, development, testing, implementation and support

Design and develop solutions

Work with SMEs, Business Analysts and Solution Architects to understand functional & non-functional requirements and technical design

Maintain high quality technical documentation

Promote best practice in development technologies

Undertake REST API solution testing for customer journey experiences

What you\'ll need:

Experience in .Net development (C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server)

Web based technologies such as ASP.NET MVC/MVP, JavaScript & JavaScript frameworks, AJAX, jQuery, CSS, JSON, XML

Web API

SQL Server 2014/2017/2019

SSIS or Azure Data Factory

Azure API Management RESTful web services and Swagger

Postman API / SoapUI / ReadyAPI Automated API Testing

And any experience of these would be really useful:

Migrating from SSIS to Azure Cloud (highly desirable)

Cosmos DB (highly desirable)
