We are looking for support with project management/delivery, on a temporary basis, while a team member is on parental leave.
In the current phase of the business we are balancing research and development (R&D) with delivery to our small, but growing, client base. We need help managing the delivery of new features and bug fixes, prioritised according to business and client needs.
This role would be client-facing.
We are a small, purpose-driven team and highly collaborative: we pitch in wherever we're needed and we encourage ideas from all areas of the business. This role is best suited to someone with a flexible skillset - it may involve some responsibilities more typical of a business analyst, or you could be asked to help with testing new features.
Typically for a start-up, sometimes we have to embrace the chaos - we need someone who is excited for the challenge and opportunity this stage of business development brings.
Responsibilities:
Work within the product team (designers and developers) to manage the delivery of new features and bug fixes, to hit delivery deadlines.
Gather requirements and feedback from clients and internal stakeholders.
Discuss technical effort and blockers with developers.
Work closely with the CTO and CEO to prioritise the backlog.
Keep the internal team and clients up-to-date on development progress.
Ensure projects stay within scope and communicate scope/budget limitations to clients.
Review existing project management processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Requirements:
Willing to be primarily office-based in Bristol, with some flexibility. Most of the product team are in the office every day.
Experience working in software development. Not suitable for non-technical project managers.
Competent with Jira, or similar.
Personable manner - skilled at building relationships with clients.
Comfortable with high autonomy and responsibility. Not suitable for junior candidates.
Open to help with other tasks in the business, when needed e.g. QA of a new feature.
Nice-to-haves (not required but we'd be interested to hear if any of these apply to you):
Experience working with local authorities, housing associations or similar.
Experience in domestic retrofit or net zero.
Portuguese language skills.
Any experience with user experience (research or design).
Benefits:
25 days holiday (pro-rata) plus bank holidays
Open to discussions around flexible working
