Software Team Leader

A renowned defence organisation operating at the forefront of advanced technologies are currently seeking Software Team Leader to join their dynamic team. As a Software Engineer you will be involved in creating cutting-edge solutions that drive their mission to serve clients, maintain competitiveness, and enhance productivity across various industries.

Software Team Leader Responsibilities:

• This role encompasses the entire software development process, from generating and managing requirements to designing technical solutions, developing software, and overseeing testing.
• Conduct peer reviews and define testing procedures to ensure top-notch software quality.
• Strictly adhere to project protocols and established software development best practices.
• Collaborate with the System Test and Integration Activities team to ensure seamless integration.
• Produce comprehensive technical documentation to facilitate effective communication.
• Lead a moderate-sized team of software developers, taking responsibility for meeting project deliverables.
• Efficiently plan, schedule, assign, and review tasks, while providing accurate progress reports.
• Collaborate and liaise with multiple stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.

Software Team Leader Skills and Experiences:

• Degree level qualification in computer science, software engineering, or relevant experience.
• Proficiency in the Software development lifecycle and related processes (e.g., design, coding, unit testing), along with experience using tools like UML design tools and code IDEs.
• Strong expertise in C++ and Java, particularly for desktop-based applications on Windows OS.
• Proficiency in object-oriented design/development, including UML, SysML, or XML.
• Project planning and reporting skills.
• Previous experience leading a team of software developers, coaching staff, coordinating training, and fostering development is advantageous.
