We are seeking an experienced Solar PV Designer to join our in-house design team. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for designing domestic solar PV systems for large social housing contracts. There is also an opportunity for the right person to progress into designing air source heating systems, with training provided.

Key Responsibilities

Design domestic solar PV systems to MCS Standards Develop and optimise system layouts and configurations using specialised design software (e.g., Easy PV, and/or similar tools). Help the on-site team with installation issues. Support procurement teams by accurately specifying appropriate components (modules, inverters, mounting systems, etc.) that meet system specifications and adhere to budget. Oversee documentation processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission. Liaise with installers, site managers, and retrofit professionals to maintain compliance. Prepare progress reports for senior leadership. Track incoming surveys and manage uploads to client portals. Provide administrative support to Retrofit Assessors and Coordinators. Maintain high standards of quality across all energy efficiency and renewable projects.

What We're Looking For

Proven experience in the renewable energy sectors. Strong knowledge of MCS Standards. Effective team leadership and management skills. Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities. Confident with IT systems and document tracking tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Essential Experience:

Minimum of 2 years in the renewable energy sector.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 30,000.00-40,000.00 per year
