We are seeking an experienced Family law Solicitor to join our highly respected Family Law legal team. We are also open to applications from NQ solicitors who have undertaken Family law work during the training contract.
We undertake private family work, across three offices in West Yorkshire. We are a friendly and supportive, close knit team. We cover children issues and financial arrangements between separating couples. We do not undertake Legal aid work. We are looking for a solicitor with experience in both areas.
The role is full time, office based, but we are open to a part time / hybrid arrangement where appropriate.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert legal advice, preparing documentation, and representing clients in various legal matters. Responsibilities
Advising clients on legal rights, obligations, and potential risks across a range of family law legal issues.
Representing clients in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings when necessary.
Conducting legal research to support case preparation and strategy development.
Managing multiple cases efficiently whilst maintaining high standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
Keeping abreast of current legislation, case law, and industry developments relevant to the organisation's practice areas.
Qualifications
Qualified Solicitor with valid practising certification recognised within the jurisdiction.
Demonstrable experience in negotiation within a legal context is highly desirable.
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong analytical skills coupled with meticulous attention to detail.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly.
A proactive approach with the capacity to work independently as well as part of a team.
