Solicitor

Lancaster, ENG, GB, United Kingdom

Job Description

Who we are

We're a growth-stage firm delivering outcomes for consumers. Our financial mis-selling team leads on PPI/Plevin claims and is scaling into unaffordable lending. Expect high standards, clear supervision, and continuous skills uplift.

The mandate

Own the detail that wins cases. You'll drive case prep and litigation support-primarily PPI/Plevin, while supervising and mentoring the wider team to ensure quality, compliance, and consistency across the board.

The Opportunity

We are looking for a Solicitor to take a supervisory role in our dedicated Plevin Department. You will manage claims from start to finish, supervise a team, and act as the matter expert and signatory for Court documents. This is a hands-on role where your expertise will shape outcomes for clients and set standards for the wider team.

What you'll deliver

Drive case preparation and litigation on PPI / Plevin claims, from intake to settlement or trial.

Supervise and mentor the wider team, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance in all casework.

Act as team lead: sign Court documents, certify pleadings, and ensure the highest professional standards.

Draft and review legal documents, including letters of claim, particulars of claim and other legal documents.

Liaise with clients, opponents, counsel, and the Court.

Oversee compliance with SRA and Court rules, ensuring cases are litigation ready.

Support strategic decision-making.

What we're looking for

Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with at least 2+ years' PQE.

Solid experience in litigation, ideally with exposure to financial mis-selling or consumer claims.

Ability to supervise junior staff, with a proven track record of mentoring or team leadership.

Strong drafting muscle, research and technical skills, with obsessive attention to detail and confidence to sign Court documents.

Organised, commercially aware, and resilient under pressure.

A genuine commitment to client care and access to justice.

Time management across multiple matters and deadlines. Confident communicator-written and verbal-with a client-first mindset. Team player, self-starter, resilient under pressure.

Salary & benefits

Competitive package aligned to your skills and impact; final details discussed at interview. Hybrid working: 1-day WFH following successful 6-month probation. Pension, paid leave and birthday leave. Casual dress; all day, every day.
