Head of Family Law Solicitor - Saltcoats, North Ayrshire

About Us:

We are a well-established and respected legal practice serving North Ayrshire and beyond. With a strong reputation in family law, we are now seeking a dynamic and experienced solicitor to lead our Family Law department.

The Role:

As Head of Family Law, you will be responsible for managing a varied caseload of family law matters including divorce, child contact/residence, cohabitation disputes, financial provision, and guardianship. You will also oversee the department's strategic growth, supervise junior solicitors, and contribute to business development.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Family Law team Handle complex family law cases with minimal supervision Provide mentorship and supervision to junior staff Represent clients in Sheriff Court and Court of Session Maintain high standards of client care and legal service Contribute to marketing and networking initiatives

Requirements:

Scottish-qualified solicitor with 3+ years PQE in family law Strong advocacy and negotiation skills Experience with Legal Aid and private client work Proven leadership or supervisory experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
