is a growing law firm seeking a dedicated professional to take on the dual roles of
Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP)
and
Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA)
. These positions are key to ensuring the firm meets the highest standards of legal, regulatory, and financial compliance under the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA).
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP):
Monitor compliance with SRA Principles, Code of Conduct, and firm authorisation conditions.
Ensure all staff follow client care standards and complaints handling procedures.
Oversee anti-money laundering (AML), data protection, and confidentiality compliance.
Identify and report serious breaches of legal and regulatory requirements.
Maintain compliance systems and provide guidance to staff.
Compliance Officer for Finance and Administration (COFA):
Oversee compliance with SRA Accounts Rules and financial regulations.
Maintain accurate client and office account records and manage reconciliations.
Implement controls to manage financial risks and supervise reporting and audits.
Report financial breaches to the SRA and liaise with external accountants as needed.
Ensure proper handling of client money and administrative processes.
Candidate Requirements:
No prior experience is required

Ability to work effectively with colleagues across the firm.
Qualifications & Training:
While a legal or financial background is helpful, it is not essential.

to equip you with the knowledge and skills needed to perform both COLP and COFA roles successfully.
