Job Overview


We are looking for a Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives or experienced Wills and Probate Paralegals to help grow our busy Private Client Law team to work on a full-time or part-time basis. to ensure we are able to meet increasing client demand.

You will have the opportunity to work on a varied caseload in terms of complexity of matters and we can therefore provide work to suit any level of experience although you should have at least 2 years' experience of working within a Private Client area in a client facing role.

The roles are office based but the Head of the Department recognises that from time to time you may need to work from home and approaches requests with flexibility.

Although training will be given, we are looking for someone with excellent client care skills who is able to work on their own caseload immediately.

The roles are office based in any of our Stockton on Tees, Barnard Castle, or Hartlepool offices.

Responsibilities



Provide expert legal advice on a range of private client matters, including wills, trusts, and probate. Draft and review legal documents such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney with precision and attention to detail. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of service and satisfaction. Conduct meetings with clients to discuss their needs and provide tailored solutions. Stay updated on relevant legislation and case law to provide informed advice. Manage a caseload efficiently while adhering to deadlines and compliance requirements.

Skills



Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly. Empathy and understanding when dealing with clients at a difficult or sensitive time in their lives. High level of attention to detail in drafting documents and managing client files. Ability to build rapport with clients and maintain professional relationships. Strong organisational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines. Proficiency in using legal software and technology for case management.

Experience



Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Paralegal with relevant experience in private client law is essential. Proven ability to negotiate effectively in complex situations is highly desirable. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds. Excellent organisational skills, enabling the management of multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a keen eye for detail are crucial for success in this role.
