To advise and represent clients in civil and commercial disputes, managing cases from instruction to resolution. The role exists to protect clients' interest through litigation, negotiation and dispute resolution.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Provide legal advice to clients on dispute resolution matters, including merits, risks and potential outcomes.
Prepare, review and file legal documents
Represent clients in mediation, arbitration and court proceedings
Negotiate settlements
Conduct legal research and apply legal case laws and statutes to support case strategies.
Maintain accurate client files and ensure compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA) Code of Conduct.
Build and manage relationships with clients, counsel and external stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
Current practicing certificate
Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience in dispute resolution or litigation
Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases, prioritise work and meet deadlines,
Proficiency in legal research tools and case management systems
