About The Role
Group IT are recruiting for a Solutions Architect on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting into the Application Architecture Manager, you will define innovative, fit for purpose architectural solutions across multiple IT projects; proposing and overseeing the implementation of solutions on a variety of platforms (networks, desktops, mobile devices, distributed platforms) which meet business requirements and align with the architectural strategy and roadmap. You will work within a portfolio team, providing technical leadership to the project teams within the portfolio and support the Business Relationship Manager to develop a portfolio technology roadmap to meet strategic business requirements.
Skills & experience you can bring to the role:

  • Broad and deep knowledge of multiple hardware and software environments
  • Ability to understand how complex heterogeneous systems function
  • Strong demonstrable IT and business process skills
  • An understanding of the IT industry, technology and trends
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, clearly articulating ideas, solutions and recommendations across all levels of the organisation
  • High level of motivation with excellent time management skills and able to work under own initiative
  • Ability to take ownership of problems and proactively resolve them
  • Strong supplier and stakeholder management skills
  • Logical thinking with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to influence with tact and diplomacy
  • Excellent demonstrated competency in strategic thinking
  • Strong technical leadership and governance experience
