Role



The role of an MSP Sound Engineer covers setting up and operating sound systems for planned live, hybrid and virtual events at MSP HQ and at local and regional venues. You will form part of a team to deliver high-end events to the corporate and events market. You will need to be highly skilled and knowledgably in the configuration and operation of a broad range of systems and be a well organised, focused and positive team player.

Key Role & Responsibilities



Full working knowledge of all PA systems and general services offered by MSP.

Collaboration with the team to ensure flawless execution of live, virtual and hybrid events and conference productions.

Able to follow a brief from internal and external managers and clients and to produce a high-quality

technical production.

To be able to trouble-shoot with ease and provide solutions.

Interpret CAD plans to prepare sound system designs.

Rigging PA equipment, including Line Array and Point Source audio systems.

Set up, test and manage radio, lectern and delegate microphones delivering a crisp and clear audio.

Excellent understanding and knowledge working with digital and analogue mixing desks, QLab software, audio interfaces and other relevant equipment.

Ability to record audio and edit playback delivering seamless event experiences.

Ability to mix audio for broadcast and streaming videos.

To work well as part of a team, helping other technicians when required.

To provide on-site solutions and advice to clients and other suppliers.

To have a high-level of knowledge of the equipment being operated on site.

To ensure that all equipment being used is correctly packed and transported and secure on site.

Delivery and collection of equipment driving company vehicles.

Assistance in the warehouse with prepping, checks, maintenance and manual handling.

Adhere to Health & Safety standards and regulations.

Experience



Minium of 2 years' experience in a similar role.

Significant experience in the Live Events & Production Industry.

Experience of working with production schedules and client briefs.

A technical qualification and/or relevant sound experience required.

A strong working knowledge of IT and networks.

Working Hours



A flexible approach to working hours will be required due to weekend and late night-time schedules, which are managed around flexible shift rotas to ensure a good work-life balance.

Overtime is paid at the normal hourly rate, however time off in lieu is preferred and scheduled over quieter periods or usually after longer shifts.



Holiday Entitlement



On Appointment 28 days per year

After 2 years' service 31 days per year

After 5 years 33 days per year

plus 1 day off for your birthday
